FEEDBACK TO: antonella_stelitano@virgilio.it

To celebrate my new website, I wrote this morning this little piece.

It’s not poetry, but the translation and particular arrangement of an old Richard Cocciante’s song.

I don’t know if someone of you know him, but he is a very famous French/Italian singer.

I have always loved this song. It speaks of friendship, of loyalty, spirit of self-sacrifice.

After all that Lyn did for me, I thought to this song, to what’s mean to have a friend.

I have try to adapt it to Blair and Jim, like if they were their own observations on their friendship.

A new friend, you!

By Antonella

I don’t say that I’ll split a mountain

But I’ll go on foot till a Vancouver

For a friend like him

For a friend like him

Because I fell me more rich and much less unhappy

Since you are you shining a new light in my world

A new friend, you

With my dear friend, you

Don’t worry, all pass, they have betrayed too me

At least now you know well the world how is it

You are my anchor, discrete and loyal friend

Our job it’s what is it, a good day, a bad day, you know

What do you think of chess’s game?

I cannot obviously a fraud, but Ill spend some days in jail

For a friend like him

For a friend like him

Because he warm my heart more a wood sweater

Sometimes better of ‘a beautiful skirt’

A new friend, you

With my dear friend, you

And if you have need of me

I give up everything, you know

Certainly I gain something more

A true friend, you

Because if you wake up a friend in the night

It’s already happened

He goes out in pyjamas and is also beaten up

Just to protect me

A true friend, you

My little brother, him
