Where Ever You Will Go

Based on a song originally performed by The Calling. Lyrics annotated below. The title is "Where Ever You Will Go," off their album "Camino Palmero."

I have been haunted by this song from the minute I first heard it. It just sounded so very J & B and TS.

As he sat there on the stripped mattress of the folded up futon, elbows on knees, hands over his eyes, the anguish of this moment ripping through him, he contemplated their future.

His on walkabout. As he tried to focus on himself for even the shortest of times.

As he tried to get his mind together.

As he attempted to get his shit together.

His future.

His life.

His attitude.

It wasn't very healthy right now, and he wasn't sure that it had been any time in the past three years.

Jim's on getting his, back where it belonged. Belonging to him. Unshared. Un-invaded. Private. Self-controlled.

No Blair.

This was to be a test. To see if they could do for themselves. Each in his own corner. Independent.

Blair was leaving the Guide's guide. In case Jim found someone to take his place. Someone better. Someone he trusted.

More then he ever could Blair, even after knowing him for the past years.

So Blair was going on this journey. To discover himself again, and to let Jim do the same.

In his heart he knew he would miss him. Very much.

Like the left ventricle of his heart. His heart might keep on beating, But out of rhythm.

He wasn't leaving forever, unless they BOTH agreed it was for the best.

He personally loved being there for Jim. He felt a deep need to be needed by one certain person. His mother never "needed" him. And sometimes to be blunt, she didn't seem to "want" him either.

He raised his head and took a last sweeping look at this corner of the loft he called his. His heart filling in all the outlined areas on the walls where his stuff had been displayed.

He got to his feet.

And walked steadily to the doors. And the same ritual took place. Then resolutely turning his back on home, he strode confidently to the door and grabbed his backpack, and with a last stroke of the key, alone in the basket, he left, closing the door firmly behind him.

"Wherever You Will Go"

So lately, been wonderin'

Who will be there to take my place

When I'm gone, you'll need love

To light the shadows on your face

If a great wave should fall

It would fall upon us all

And between the sand and stone

Could you make it on your own

If I could, then I would

I'll go wherever you will go

Way up high or down low

I'll go wherever you will go

And maybe, I'll find out

The way to make it back someday

To watch you, to guide you

Through the darkest of your days

If a great wave should fall

It would fall upon us all

And between the sand and stone

Could you make it on your own

Runaway with my heart

Runaway with my hope

Runaway with my love

I know now, just quite how

My life and love might still go on

In your heart and your mind

Ill stay with you for all of time

If I could turn back time

I'll go wherever you will go

If I could make you mine

I'll go wherever you will go
